People often ask why I am running for mayor. I am running because I love Geneva and am concerned about the empty storefronts and stalled developments. The Geneva City Government has too much overhead for a city of our size, with 21,129 residents. We need to evaluate this overhead and ensure that our city government operates as efficiently as possible.
Geneva is a great place, but it has the potential to be even greater. Let's give the citizens of Geneva a voice in the important decisions that will shape our future. I will ensure that issues are communicated to citizens in a timely manner, so that important decisions are made thoughtfully and without haste.
Why am I well-suited to be Geneva's next mayor? I have been a resident of Geneva for 24 years and a construction professional for over 35 years, estimating and managing projects. I know how to get things done. In addition to my business experience, I hold a degree in civil engineering and a master's in business administration. I am a past board member and president of the Association of Subcontractors of Chicago and currently serve on the board of a national construction association. I have also been actively involved in the community through Cub Scouts and coaching Tri-City football.
I am a husband to Kelli and a father to Aidan and Bailey, with three grandchildren: Charlotte, Brooklyn, and Jackson. My son Aidan went through the Geneva school system, graduated from Geneva High School, and is now a senior at the University of Illinois. I also have a big black dog that I love walking around Geneva. If you see me walking, please say hi. Please vote for me to bring positive change to Geneva and to make our city the best it can be.
